This is the first time I will have used this method of communication.  I hope you and your familieis are enjoying a good summer and that you take time to smell the roses.  Many of you are already retired and I congratulate you on your success.  For the rest of us remember these immortal words that you will not see on anyone's obit, "I wish I'd have spent more time in the office".

I can assure you that future notes will not be all about Classmates that have passed away.  However this one is about one of my M Company Classmates, Steve Bodie.  He passed away back in Nov., but for some reason none of us knew about it until recently.  Even The Citadel didn't know about it.

Stevan P. Bodie, 65, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Kentucky One Hospital, in Louisville. He was a computer programmer for Wells Fargo in Charlotte, N.C. Stevan was born Oct. 18, 1950, in Newberry, S.C., to Preston Bodie and Dorothy (Vines) Bodie. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Slavens) Bodie, whom he married April 19, 1975; a daughter, Chelsie Johnson and husband Shawn of West Terre Haute; sons, Brandon Bodie of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Thomas Bodie and wife Barbara of Medina, N.Y.; grandchildren, Kyle, Evan, Destiny, Michael, Tommy, Natashia, Victoria, Theo, Christina, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Noah, Cole, Abbie, Cadi, and Ocee; a brother, Randall Bodie and wife Diane of Sumter, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Pearl Ramsey and husband Bill, and Marsha Slavens; a brother-in-law, Ralph Slavens; and several nieces and nephews.

 Stevan was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was discharged with the rank of 1st lieutenant. He enjoyed playing golf and euchre. 

�TXq�[qVisitation will be Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, from 4 until 8 p.m., in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with funeral services on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery, with military honors provided by the US Air Force.
