A message from your Reunion Campaign Committee. . . .

Class of 2002:

We had a great 10th reunion at Homecoming 2012! It was great to see everyone that was able to make. For those who were unable to make it we all hope that you are able to get back for the next reunion. I want to express my appreciation and thanks to everyone that helped to plan the events for the weekend, as I know a tremendous amount of your personal time was spent on planning.  

We raised approximately $126,614, exceeding our overall goal of our $102,000! This reflects gifts made from 2010-2012 to The Citadel Foundation, The Citadel Brigadier Foundation, and charitable gifts to the Alumni Association.  Great work Class of 2002!

We also met both of our class project goals, which are encompassed within the overall goal.  As a reminder, the projects our class supported are:

•    Arvel Richard “Trey” Reeves Memorial Scholarship – We met the $25,000 goal for the first project!  This scholarship will be awarded to cadets who have an expressed financial need so they can receive the same education and experience we had at The Citadel.

•    The Class of 2002 Faculty Development Fund – We also met the $25,000 goal for our second class project!  This fund will provide discretionary funds for faculty to apply for to meet their greatest needs.

To those of you who gave—THANK YOU!  You have helped us achieve our fundraising goal!   

We did not meet our 60% participation goal.  However, we did have a participation rate of 38.58% which is a fine job.

Remember that every gift given helps to continue the tradition of the Long Gray Line that we are blessed to be members of.
