Class Chairmen
The Citadel Fund and Class Chairmen
Historically, alumni are the primary source of funding for the annual campaign. To this end, a dedicated group of volunteers serve as Class Chairmen. These volunteers are available to answer your questions about TCF and to serve as your conduit to news and events around campus. If you would like to assist your chairman or fill a vacancy, please contact Elizabeth Wyatt, Annual Giving Assistant, at (843) 953-5839 or toll-free at (800) 233-1842.
Class Chairmen Volunteers
Each graduating class has a chairmen volunteer (Roster) who takes a leadership role in the area of fundraising for their particular class. Each class has an annual goal for fundraising to benefit The Citadel Fund and other annual giving priorities of the college. The Director of Annual Giving of The Citadel Foundation works with these volunteers to help distribute new information about activity on campus and to report back to donors about the difference their gifts have made in life on campus.
Chairmen have a personal relationship with their classmates and are able to offer an invaluable personalization to the fundraising process. Class Chairmen are asked to write letters to their classmates, call classmates, and contact individuals who may be interested in making charitable gifts to support the work of The Citadel. Class Chairman also help implement reunion and special projects that raise money for a variety of special needs on campus. Each Spring, all of the Class Chairmen gather for a conference in Charleston to organize their activities for the year and learn who has won the Class Chairmen Awards.
Class Chairmen enhance The Citadel Foundation's ability to support the ongoing standard of excellence at the Military College of South Carolina.
