ABOUT SSL CERTIFICATES

Thank you for your support of The Citadel!

The Citadel Foundation is working hand-in-hand with each class to create a reunion model that competes with our peer schools and academics. Through this new tradition, known as Class Reunion Campaigns (CRC), those classes celebrating significant reunions will have an opportunity to rally together in support of The Citadel and its greatest needs. Please join the class in leaving a legacy at The Citadel.

In November 2019, the Class of 1994 will return to The Citadel to celebrate a 25th Reunion. To mark this momentous occasion the class has set a goal of $750,000 for The Citadel which includes support for a project on campus.

The Class of 1994 Scholarship

Goal: $400,000

Gentlemen of the Class of 1994,

It’s hard to believe we are less than three years away from our 25th class reunion.  It was almost 25 years ago that we took our first steps as Citadel Alumni into a challenging world prepared only the way The Citadel could prepare us.   Now it is our time to step up on behalf of the institution that helped build our character and values and molded us into “Citadel Men.” On behalf of the Class of 1994 Class Reunion Campaign (CRC) Committee, I would like to express our thanks for your ongoing support of The Citadel and share the exciting news of our 25th Reunion Campaign.

The CRC Committee has reviewed previous class goals and accomplishments to establish criteria for our class goal.  The Class of 1994 overall goal is to raise $750,000 by December 31, 2019.  Within that goal, the Class of 1994 project goal is $400,000 allocated to the Class of 1994 Scholarship Fund to fully endow the scholarship leaving a permanent gift in the name of our Class.

Through the reunion campaign tradition, those classes celebrating significant reunions (10th, 25th, 40th, & 50th) have an opportunity to rally together in support of The Citadel and its greatest needs.  More importantly, the campaign offers each of us a vehicle to reach out to our classmates and maintain some of the most formative and important relationships we have known. A Campaign by definition means above and beyond annual giving. During this period, our Annual Giving Class Chairman, Jay Ward, will work closely with me as the CRC Chairman and the CRC Committee. It is most important during a reunion campaign to understand the difference between this special effort and annual giving:

  • For example, if you are already making annual gifts to The Citadel Fund or the Brigadier Foundation, please continue to do so.  These gifts count toward our overall Class goal.
  • The Class has until December 31, 2019 to make a gift or pledge commitment, and pledge fulfillment can be extended through December 31, 2022.
  • There are several options available for giving. For a full list visit https://foundation.citadel.edu/howtogive.  We will also provide some quick reference material.
  • Each Company will have a campaign representative to help keep you informed of our progress, encourage participation, and hopefully inspire some competition.  If you are interested in representing your Company, please contact any member of the CRC Committee or Megan Schwab, whose contact information is below.
  • This is an opportunity for the Class of 1994 to present a gift to The Citadel that will be our mark and legacy for how we are able to pull together and deliver.

In the coming months, CRC Committee members will be contacting you.  Additionally, Megan Schwab, a Development Officer with The Citadel Foundation, will serve as our class liaison, so please feel free to contact her directly at 843-953-4961, or via email at megan.schwab@citadel.edu. As always, you can reach out to me as well at medlinjb@yahoo.com or send me a message on Facebook.

I personally want to thank each of you in advance for considering ways to support our reunion campaign, and thus our Alma Mater.  We will be sharing a number of flexible giving alternatives that are available as you consider your CRC support.  Remember, it is not how much you give, but the fact that you choose to participate at the most meaningful level possible.  My personal goal, and one I hope you will all accept, is to achieve the highest participation level of any class.  We look forward to seeing you in Charleston during Homecoming 2019 for our 25th reunion.

Go Dawgs!
